As an Account Director, you will be a pivotal part of our team, driving the strategic direction of client programs and leading a collaborative account team. Great Account Directors provide clear direction, ensure seamless project execution, and maintain a laser focus on client satisfaction and business growth.
Our Account Directors are at the forefront of Cult’s mission to grow and nurture client relationships. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our presence in the market, building strong relationships with both new and existing clients. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring client success, leveraging your expertise to help clients overcome challenges and achieve their business objectives. Your ultimate goal? To deliver a client experience that creates an irrational level of client adoration and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, build, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key pillar clients, demonstrating the capability and willingness to establish, and develop relationships with clients in a way that grows the business.
- Act as the firm’s trusted partner for clients, addressing their concerns and providing exceptional customer service.
- Understand clients' business goals, industry, and unique challenges.
- Regularly meet with clients to discuss project performance, present new ideas, and gather feedback.
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct in all client interactions.
- Be a big thinker that combines a strategic approach with creative vision and be capable of developing compelling ideas across experiences, services and touchpoints.
- Lead clients to develop effective strategies aligned with their business objectives.
- Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with clients' objectives.
- Develop long-term account strategies and growth plans.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights.
- Nurture account management teams, providing guidance, support and mentoring.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Lead and Manage $3.0MM + of billable revenue
- Identify opportunities for value pricing, upselling and cross-selling firms services to clients.
- Develop Statement of Values (SOV’s) for client engagement opportunities and work with the PM Office on pricing those engagements.
- Work closely with the PM Office to monitor project budgets, workback schedules and expenditures to ensure adherence to client timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with Operations on forecasting revenue and expenses accurately, aiming to maximize profitability.
- Engage in broad-based discussions with clients to become a trusted counselor, and in so doing identify further opportunities for mutually beneficial growth of Cult and client relationship.
- Follow up and manage the client growth process on select leads generated by the firm's content-driven marketing efforts, including conducting research and contributing strategy to presentations and proposals.
- Participate in new business pitches, showcasing the firm’s capabilities and expertise.
- Deliver effective and persuasive presentations to clients, conveying strategic recommendations and project proposals.
- Ensure all client communications are professional, accurate, and aligned with the brand.
- Influence others and provide thought leadership.
- Address client and team challenges and conflicts promptly, finding effective solutions that maintain positive relationships and progress.
- Make informed decisions that balance client needs, firm’s capabilities, and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field.
- 10+ years of consultative and/or agency-side experience in a related position in a Branding, Marketing or Advertising Agency, or related professional services.
- A strategic thinker with the ability to instill confidence in clients and across internal teams.
- Extensive experience in account management and marketing, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies, media planning, and creative processes.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Strong account management and organizational skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be an excellentent verbal and written communicator, comfortable preparing proposals,presentations and speaking in front of groups.
- Creative problem solver.
- Ability to manage and mentor junior and senior members of the team.
- Must be a self starter and nimble multi-tasker, able to handle large, complex projects.
- Be willing and eager to collaborate in person and/or virtually.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspaces
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management and Enterprise Resource planning platforms for Project tracking, communication, and analysis.
- Comfortable embracing and learning new technologies as required
