Interested applicants who reside in the City of London and are in need of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) are encouraged to apply for one as soon as possible as PVSCs in the City of London are currently taking approximately 2 weeks to be processed and offers of employment cannot be made without receipt of a PVSC.</em></p><p><br /><strong>WHAT WE&#39;RE OFFERING:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>What you&#39;ll be making - </strong>Starting rate for this role is <strong>$27.14</strong> per hour (Level 1 – Direct Service), with a wage differential, based on regulation (<strong>$30.01</strong> per hour for Level 1 – Direct Service, Regulated):<ul><li>Successful candidates who are registered with one of the designated professional colleges (e.g. OCSWSSW, CNO, COTO, CRPO, CPSO, or CPO) will receive the wage differential for regulation</li><li>Successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with grid progression based on seniority up to Level 8 ($34.41 per hour for non-regulated, and $37.26 per hour for regulated)</li><li>For internal applicants, grid level placement will occur as per the Collective Agreement </li></ul></li><li><strong>When you&#39;ll work </strong>- 70 hours over a two-week period; Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:30pm including a half hour unpaid meal break</li><li><strong>What your benefits will be </strong>- After a 90-day waiting period, will be enrolled in extended healthcare benefits</li><li><strong>Your pension plan</strong> – Immediately enrolled in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)</li></ul><p><br /><strong>HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide walk-in support during set business hours within a Hub Model setting to ensure rapid engagement</li><li>Provide mental health and addiction support, linkages, answer general enquiries, provide information and referrals, system navigation, form support and basic needs resources for walk-in support</li><li>Using wellness approaches to recovery, develop and implement both group and individual programs that address the Social Determinants of Health to promote optimal health and well-being</li><li>Facilitate programming that encourages the development of self-determination and the empowerment of the individual</li><li>Monitor, assess and provide feedback regarding client&#39;s recovery-oriented goals, both to the client and to internal and external team members.</li><li>Explore and promote client-led activities by identifying and supporting individuals to assume leadership roles</li><li>Identify opportunities and partnerships that contribute to the community integration and recovery of individuals; contribute to the development of program proposals to support community development initiatives</li><li>Assess individuals’ strengths, abilities, needs and preferences</li><li>Assess social and environmental factors impacting the individual, and any vulnerability and risk factors</li><li>Include and encourage individuals’ natural supports (e.g. family, significant friends) in goal planning, clarifying the roles each plays towards individual’s wellness</li><li>Regularly solicit feedback from the individual and relevant community supports regarding individual’s mental wellness and progress towards their goals</li><li>Seek out and maintain knowledge of current best practice literature in the field and evaluate programs on a regular basis to ensure they meet individual needs </li><li>Identify, assess and effectively respond to any emergency situations concerning person(s) or property, as per CMHA TVAMHS and/or Community Wellness Programs procedures</li><li>Contribute to a positive team environment</li></ul><p><br /><strong>WHAT YOU&#39;LL NEED TO APPLY:</strong></p><p><br /><strong><em>Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements</em></strong></p><p>Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months.
