<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Main functions: </strong>To melt and pour aluminum into molds for the production of parts as per Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd’s policies and procedures.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Operates and monitors foundry furnaces used to melt aluminum.</li><li>Fluxes and skims molten aluminum.</li><li>Setups and operates tilt pours to cast aluminum parts.</li><li>Follow casting work package procedures. </li><li>Handles ladle molten aluminum into molds.</li><li>Removes aluminum castings from molds.</li><li>Visually inspects castings for non-conformance to ensure the quality of castings is produced.</li><li>Reports any issues that might affect production to the supervisor.</li><li>Finishing of casting through saw cutting and sanding procedures for gate removal.</li><li>Completes work package documentation. </li><li>Clean work areas and equipment.</li><li>Support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd’s Lean initiative.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Working Conditions/ Physical Capabilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Shift 4 days a week 10 hours a day (Days or Afternoons).</li><li>Repetitive tasks.</li><li>Handling heavy loads up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Physically demanding.</li><li>Manual dexterity.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Hand-eye co-ordination.</li><li>Standing for extended periods.</li><li>Self-starter.</li><li>Must be able to work as part of a team. </li></ul><p><strong>Employment Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>High School preferred but not required.</li><li>Good understanding of the English language both verbal and written. </li><li>On-the-job training is provided.</li></ul></p></p>
