<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Architectural Project Manager / Construction Manager - Senior</p><p>This role is based out of AECOM offices in Kitchener, London or Mississauga, ON with opportunities for remote / hybrid work and travel to site meetings expected 10 - 20% of the time.</p><h3>Major Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop strong client relationships and lead projects from beginning to end, to achieve our client’s goals and objectives</li><li>Lead program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, consultant tendering and selection, operational readiness planning, and contract administration efforts</li><li>Regularly report to the client on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports</li><li>Manage project staff allocated to your projects, peer reviewing their deliverables and continuously developing their knowledge and capabilities</li><li>Manage project budgets and finances and complete monthly invoices and financial reporting as required</li><li>Chair client, project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders</li><li>Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents</li><li>Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues</li><li>Select and organize project teams and establish levels of authority and lines of communication</li><li>Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects with varying levels of complexity</li><li>Consistently delivers profit margins planned</li><li>Typically manages projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors)</li><li>Has decision-making authority and directs others in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate risks. Directs staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims</li><li>Supervises and directs multiple project teams to exceed client and financial expectations</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><b>Minimum Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>University Degree in relevant field of study + no less than six (6) years of relevant experience in project management, delivering new build and capital improvement projects</li><li>Demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education may be considered</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>A university degree or diploma in design, architecture or engineering</li><li>MBA, PMP designation and LEED AP accreditation is an asset</li><li>Ten (10) + years of experience in project management role + Architectural experience, delivering new build and capital improvement projects</li><li>Depth of knowledge in program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, interior and base building construction techniques, operational readiness, and contract administration</li><li>Experience with the preparation of RFP's, tenders and tender closing / award procedures</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication (French and English) and presentation skills</li><li>Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications</li><li>Team Player</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Relocation is not available for this position.</li><li>Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.</li></ul><p>Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
