<p><b>Position Overview:</b></p>
<p>The Associate Lawyer at The Riley Divorce & Family Law Firm’s Halifax office is a key member of our legal team, responsible for providing expert guidance and representation to clients navigating separation, divorce, and related family law matters. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Associate Lawyer handles strategy development, negotiation, documentation, and court appearances.</p>
<p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Managing client cases and providing legal representation.</li>
<li>Maintain billing target of 25 hours per week.</li>
<li>Advise clients on family law matters, prepare legal documentation, and represent clients in court proceedings.</li>
<li>Stay current with changes in family law legislation and best practices to provide top-tier legal services.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of family law and legal procedures.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.</li>
<li>Proficiency with legal practice management software and other relevant technologies.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to develop and execute legal strategies that align with firm goals.</li>
