This is a 1-year contract position, offering the possibility of conversion to a permanent role, though not guaranteed. This role provides an opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company with decades of industry experience. As the sole accounting professional on site, this role is responsible for all day-to-day financial operations while working closely with leadership in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Bookkeeper will manage the full cycle of accounting for the business, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks. This includes handling Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll processing, and government remittances (GST, PST, payroll deductions). You will prepare month-end documentation, liaise with the external accountant during the year-end, and maintain internal financial records and reports. Reporting directly to the Owner, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while being an integral part of the team.
