Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst, for one of our key clients. The Business Systems Analyst will maintain a “business perspective” through all phases of the problem resolution and systems enhancement and work closely to understand business needs, opportunities, and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Representing the business’ requirements;
- Defining and designing the business functionality of the system;
- Ensuring that the system meets the defined business requirements;
- Defining business problems / opportunities, providing a clear definition and performing benefit analysis;
- Performing business and systems analysis and design, articulating the logical design alternatives and recommending appropriate solutions;
- Performing functional analysis and design, defining and documenting detailed business requirements;
- Performing functional testing of system changes and supporting user acceptance testing of those changes;
- Contributing to training strategies and business implementation planning;
- Creating processes from audit findings and documenting them;
- Gathering requirements from business to create business requirements documentation;
- Leveraging experience with creating / writing process documentation; and
- Ability to take output from an audit, drive out the process and document it.
Qualifications
- A degree in related discipline (Commerce / Management Information Systems, Business Administration) or equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Good understanding of business principles and experience with a broad range of different types of business functions;
- Understanding of general IT project methodologies, processes and practices;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that rely on a structured approach to problem solving;
- Effective internal consulting skills with a strong customer service orientation;
- Communicating in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbal, that is appropriate for the audience;
- Good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under pressure;
- Effective planning and organizational skills;
- Good understanding of information technology / information systems;
- Process creation;
- Pulling information from stakeholders on what to do;
- Setting up a team with a process and everything they need to be successful;
- Quarterly reviews of advisor accounts, documenting and storing properly;
- Building T2P;
- Technical expertise;
- Writing, editing and proofreading skills;
- Ability to collaborate; and
- Organization and time management skills.
