The ideal candidate should have a strong background - with at least 5 years of experience - in finishing concrete surfaces for both residential and commercial projects. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for creating smooth, durable, and visually appealing surfaces according to project specifications. During the off-season, the ideal candidate will assist with general construction duties, including framing, demolition, shop preparation, and cleanup.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare the work area by cleaning, setting up forms, and ensuring proper drainage.</li><li>Assist in placing and securing concrete forms, ensuring they are properly aligned.</li><li>Finish surfaces using hand and power tools to achieve the desired texture and appearance.</li><li>Smooth and level freshly poured concrete to the specified depth and contour.</li><li>Apply coloring and staining agents to enhance the appearance of the concrete if required.</li><li>Create decorative patterns and textures using various finishing techniques.</li><li>Monitor and control the curing process to ensure proper hardening of the concrete.</li><li>Apply sealants and curing compounds to protect the finished surfaces.</li><li>Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.</li><li>Repair and patch imperfections or cracks in the concrete as needed.</li><li>Follow safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.</li><li>Properly use and maintain tools and equipment.</li><li>Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher in residential and commercial construction.</li><li>Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.</li><li>Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>5 to 7 years experience.</li><li>Knowledge of decorative concrete techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with different types of concrete and their applications.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>If you have a passion for creating high-quality concrete finishes and take pride in delivering exceptional results, we encourage you to apply for this position.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Dental care.</li><li>Health care.</li><li>Vision care.</li><li>RRSP plan.</li></ul></p></p>
