We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Modeler to design, implement, and maintain data architecture and modeling solutions across enterprise platforms. This includes relational (MS SQL Server), dimensional, and NoSQL (Hive) databases to support enterprise information management, business intelligence, and analytics initiatives.

You will be responsible for developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, overseeing data architecture expansion, optimizing data performance, and ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) for relational, dimensional, and NoSQL (Hive) databases.
• Support and maintain enterprise data architecture including data lakes, data marts, and RDBMS on platforms like MS SQL Server and Hadoop.
• Collaborate with business and application teams to translate business requirements into scalable data models and flows.
• Define and enforce data modeling standards, best practices, and tool usage across teams.
• Perform hands-on data modeling, design, performance tuning, and proof-of-concept development.
• Optimize and govern query performance and architecture scalability.
• Analyze and resolve data integration and architecture-related issues.
• Identify opportunities for model reuse, improving data consistency and reducing redundancy.
• Document and maintain metadata, data lineage, and architectural blueprints.
• Contribute to agile project delivery by proactively identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling for relational (MS SQL Server), dimensional, and NoSQL (Hive) environments.
• Strong expertise in data architecture, data lake and data warehouse design, and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop).
• Proficiency with data modeling tools such as ERwin and Visio.
• Solid understanding of metadata management, data governance, and model lifecycle.
• Experience with ETL processes, data ingestion techniques, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
