Drywall Superintendent
This is a unique Drywall Superintendent role with a well-known builder. This role requires a willingness to complete night work when the project requires it (such as occupied spaces). There is room for growth as this role could lead to a Senior role within the company's drywall division, with Forepersons beneath you leading their own jobs.
Company:
This company occupies a unique space in the industry. They are extremely successful and well known. You will join a smaller tight-knit team within the larger company. Typical projects include TIs, warehouses, courthouses and new builds with drywall budgets from $500k to $3M. Current and near future projects include Coquitlam, Langley and Vancouver locations. This is a new role created to grow the team and set the team up for future growth.
Duties:
- You will lead your projects as the Drywall Superintendent, overseeing the schedule and communications with the GC Superintendent(s)
- Communicate clearly with the Project Manager to ensure smooth project delivery
- Lead a crew of 2 to 20 depending on the size of each site, with 1 to 2 ongoing sites at a time
- You will be expected to jump on the tools (be hands-on) when needed
- You with report to the General Superintendent
Requirements:
- You must be a drywall expert and experienced in working alongside structural engineers during value engineering
- Strong with reviewing shop drawings, on-site layout and field verifications
- Experienced with running drywall crews and being the lead drywall Supervisor on-site
- Skills with MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office (Outlook, Excel) are an asset
- A willingness to work nights when required by the project
- Training and certification in Drywall (Lathing) is an asset, but experience is more important
- A track record of solid tenure in your career
Compensation:
- Salary: $100,000 to $110,000 ($80,000 for a Drywall Foreman)
- Bonus eligible role
- Vacation: 2 - 3 weeks
