<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong> Dynamics Great Plains Developer</strong></p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>Our government client in Winnipeg, MB, is seeking a <strong>Dynamics Great Plains Developer</strong> for a 24 month contract, starting with a 6-month initial contract, and then an extension option for an additional 18 months. The ideal candidate will be based onsite in Winnipeg, MB, but remote work is also acceptable.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Reference:</strong> 29954-RFR-044</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>As a Dynamics Great Plains Developer, you will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom applications and integrations. Your duties will include:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Solution Design & Development:</strong> Design, develop, and deploy custom applications, APIs, and integrations using <strong>Microsoft Great Plains (GP)</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Collaboration with Stakeholders:</strong> Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other team members to gather requirements, ensure proper implementation, and meet project milestones.</p></li><li><p><strong>Quality Assurance & Testing:</strong> Ensure the quality and performance of all applications by performing comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.</p></li><li><p><strong>Coding and Testing:</strong> Write, test, and deploy code to ensure applications meet quality standards.</p></li><li><p><strong>Best Practices & Documentation:</strong> Develop and maintain technical documentation, following best practices for version control, release management, and deployment.</p></li><li><p><strong>Data Management:</strong> Oversee data migration, data integration, and data quality assurance processes.</p></li><li><p><strong>Project Management:</strong> Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Required Skills and Experience</strong></p><p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor&#39;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).</p></li><li><p><strong>Experience:</strong> At least 5 years of experience working with <strong>Microsoft Dynamics GP</strong> and the <strong>Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Dynamics GP:</strong> Proven experience in developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics GP modules.</p></li><li><p><strong>Database:</strong> Strong understanding of <strong>relational databases</strong> (e.g., <strong>SQL Server</strong>) and data modeling.</p></li><li><p><strong>Integrations:</strong> Experience in integrating Microsoft Dynamics with third-party applications via <strong>APIs, web services, and connectors</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Power Platform:</strong> Hands-on experience with <strong>model-driven apps, canvas apps, and custom connectors</strong> in Power Apps.</p></li><li><p><strong>Dexterity:</strong> Basic skill in Dexterity to build custom forms and business logic (for legacy code/upgrades).</p></li><li><p><strong>.NET/C#:</strong> Intermediate proficiency with <strong>Visual Studio Tools</strong> for GP and <strong>C#</strong> to create <strong>.NET add-ins</strong> against GP dictionaries and handle events.</p></li><li><p><strong>eConnect SDK:</strong> Advanced experience with the eConnect SDK to programmatically create and update GP data from .NET.</p></li><li><p><strong>Web Services:</strong> Advanced ability to work with <strong>GP Web Services</strong> and create <strong>REST</strong> or <strong>SOAP</strong> wrappers for external systems.</p></li><li><p><strong>SQL/BI:</strong> Advanced skills in <strong>SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, and Power BI</strong>, including writing stored procedures, creating views, and tuning GP databases.</p></li><li><p><strong>Workflow:</strong> Basic knowledge of <strong>Power Automate, Dataverse, and custom connectors</strong> to orchestrate workflows around GP.</p></li><li><p><strong>DevOps:</strong> Basic experience with <strong>Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines</strong> for building and deploying GP add-ins and integration services.</p></li><li><p><strong>Debugging:</strong> Basic ability to use <strong>Visual Studio debugging</strong> and <strong>SQL Profiler</strong> to trace GP add-ins and data flows.</p></li><li><p><strong>No-Code Tools:</strong> Basic familiarity with <strong>GP Power Tools</strong> for no-code/low-code tweaks inside GP.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Professional Attributes</strong></p><ul><li><p>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.</p></li></ul></p></p>
