<h3>Location</h3>
<p>Hybrid role working out of any DXC office in Canada. Candidates located within 25 miles of a DXC office are required to work onsite two days per week.</p>
<h3>Job Overview</h3>
<p>The Dynatrace Implementation Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Dynatrace solutions to ensure optimal performance and visibility into applications and infrastructure. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of and performance management.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<h3>Dynatrace Advisory</h3>
<ul>
<li>Perform planning, consulting, technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and daily support of application monitoring and automation software</li>
<li>Develop and implement policies, strategies, guidelines, standards, and procedures</li>
<li>Define strategy and roadmap for Dynatrace monitoring, including rollout approach based on technology landscape and customer policies</li>
<li>Design Dynatrace monitoring architecture based on IT landscape, security policies, and deployment approach</li>
</ul>
<h3>Dynatrace Deployment and Configuration</h3>
<ul>
<li>Identify infra, apps, and business requirements for monitoring and design Dynatrace monitoring solution</li>
<li>Work with different technical teams across the organization in order to determine scope for different monitoring solution designs</li>
<li>Work with stakeholder leadership and teams to partner on rollout of solutions</li>
<li>Deploy and configure Dynatrace monitoring solutions across various environments (development, testing, production).</li>
<li>Integrate Dynatrace with existing systems and applications.</li>
<li>Customize Dynatrace settings to meet the specific needs of different applications and infrastructure components.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Monitoring and Performance Management</h3>
<ul>
<li>Set up monitoring for applications, services, and infrastructure using Dynatrace.</li>
<li>Create and manage dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system performance.</li>
<li>Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks, trends, and potential issues.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Troubleshooting and Support</h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide technical support for Dynatrace-related issues. Research and troubleshoot with support from SMEs as needed</li>
<li>Collaborate with development, operations, and support teams to resolve performance issues.</li>
<li>Conduct root cause analysis for performance problems and recommend solutions.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Optimization and Best Practices</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement best practices for effective use of Dynatrace.</li>
<li>Optimize monitoring configurations and settings for improved performance and efficiency.</li>
<li>Stay up to date with the latest features and incorporate them into the monitoring strategy.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Documentation and Training</h3>
<ul>
<li>Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps related to Dynatrace.</li>
<li>Conduct training sessions for team members on the use and capabilities of Dynatrace.</li>
<li>Create user guides and manuals for internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Conduct training sessions with a demo for the customer</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li>
<li>Proven experience in deploying and managing Dynatrace in a professional setting.</li>
<li>Strong background in application performance monitoring and management.</li>
<li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).</li>
<li>Extensive background and experience in deploying and managing across complex global environments.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Skills</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in Dynatrace configuration and administration.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Excellent decision-making skills.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.</li>
<li>Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) is a plus.</li>
<li>Understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and application development processes.</li>
<li>Experience working with remote technical teams/resources.</li>
<li>Strong communication and executive-level presentation skills.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preferred Certifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Dynatrace Certified Associate</li>
<li>Dynatrace Certified Professional</li>
</ul>
<h3>Work Environment</h3>
<ul>
<li>This position may require both remote and on-site work, depending on the organization's needs.</li>
<li>Occasional on-call support may be required to address critical issues.</li>
<li>Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring sponsorship now or in the future</li>
