<p><h3>Flight Controls Engineer (Fly-By-Wire & Secondary Systems)</h3><p>Senior Professional Engineer – FBW and Secondary Flight Control System</p>
<p>Base pay range: CA$39.80/hr - CA$47.50/hr</p>
<p>Location: Montreal, QC – Hybrid (2 days/week on-site)</p>
<p>Contract: 12 months</p>
<p>Controlled Goods Clearance required</p>
<p>Start date: beginning of 2026</p>
<p>Status: Consultant/Freelance/Self employed/Independent Contractor</p>
<p>No overtime expected – regular workday with some flexibility.</p>
<p>Occasional travel to suppliers</p>
<h3>About the Role</h3>
<p>We are looking for a Senior Professional Engineer with expertise in Fly-by-Wire (FBW) and Secondary Flight Control Systems to support existing programs and contribute to future aerospace innovations. This role involves system integration, supplier coordination, and participation in certification activities.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Integrate FBW and Secondary Flight Control systems on aircraft.</li>
<li>Collaborate with suppliers on design concepts and philosophies.</li>
<li>Perform and review feasibility analyses.</li>
<li>Develop, validate, and verify technical requirements.</li>
<li>Prepare and review test procedures; execute rig and aircraft testing.</li>
<li>Support certification activities through test reports.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot in-service issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with ARP4754 development process.</li>
<li>Participate in trade‑off studies and lifecycle cost analysis for future programs.</li>
<li>Provide on‑site support at final assembly lines, completion centers, and flight test facilities.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.</li>
<li>7+ years aerospace experience.</li>
<li>Direct involvement in definition and certification of FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control systems.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of system integration and certification processes.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Part 25 certification.</li>
<li>Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow; familiarity with ADAMS and CATIA is an asset.</li>
<li>Proficiency in MS Office and requirements management tools.</li>
</ul>
