On occasion, we also use AI-assisted tools to help review applications.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>THE ROLE</strong></p><p>Strive is working with a reputable company on a search for a Heavy Equipment Field Technician In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of construction equipment, including earth-moving, compaction, aerial, and forklift machinery. This is a permanent opportunity for someone who works well independently, has strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and enjoys a fast-paced, on-the-go work environment. Based out of Etobicoke, you’ll primarily be on the road responding to client service calls. A minimum of 5 years’ experience with heavy-duty construction equipment is required.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>ADVANTAGES:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive hourly wage up to $36/hr, with overtime opportunities</li><li>Monday to Friday daytime schedule</li><li>Long-term, stable employment with growth potential</li><li>All necessary PPE, uniforms, and safety footwear provided</li><li>Great benefits- RRSP matching, medical, and dental</li><li>Tool allowance</li><li>Work vehicle provided</li><li>Opportunity for advancement, development and career growth</li><li>Work independently while being supported by a collaborative team</li><li>Company events, great culture, safety culture, and working conditions</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment including earth-moving, compaction, aerial lifts (telehandlers, boom lifts, scissor lifts), and forklifts</li><li>Perform diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes</li><li>Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life</li><li>Test the machinery post-repair to ensure optimal performance and safety</li><li>Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients and supporting their equipment needs</li><li>Accurately complete service records, maintenance logs, and work orders</li><li>Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment</li><li>Assist with other duties within the branch such as washing and cleaning equipment, organizing the yard, deliveries, answering the phone, etc.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul><li>3 years of mechanical experience, ideally servicing a variety of heavy construction equipment</li><li>Valid G-Class driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driving record</li><li>421A or 310T license is an asset</li><li>Fully equipped with a complete set of tools, or actively working toward it</li><li>Willing to work overtime and participate in an on-call rotation as needed</li><li>Proficient with diagnostic software and modern repair tools</li><li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li><li>Clear communicator with strong verbal and written skills, and a customer-focused mindset</li><li>Self-motivated and capable of working independently</li><li>Committed to high-quality workmanship and safety standards</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>#INDSTRIVEON</strong></p><p><br /></p></p></p>
