The Opportunity
The Fund Treasurer’s Office represents the interests of investors, overseeing financial and operational matters affecting the funds and their investors. The ETF Oversight Analyst (Business Title “Fund Treasury Analyst”) contributes to the oversight of our Fund Administrator and other service providers to the funds, principally in the area of Exchange Traded Funds, including valuation, end-of-day INAV reporting, performance reviews, and monitoring of settlements attributed to in-kind and cash settlements. The analyst will also monitor stale cash balances and coordinate with accounting, custodian and portfolio services teams to repatriate balances to the PMs preferred currency. The analyst will oversee oversight controls and review documentation to ensure third-party services and deliverables are met within guidelines and service level agreements. The analyst will work closely with Senior Analysts, Manager and Director to continually assess and enhance the oversight model.
What You Will Do
- Provide oversight and review of daily ETF reporting of performance, INAV reporting, and settlement statuses for in-kind and cash settlements.
- Escalate exceptions to external teams (Custodian, Fund Administrator) and internal groups (Product teams).
- Coordinate with Fund Accounting and Custodian Bank to identify causes of stale cash balances and timely resolution.
- Support the Senior Analysts, Manager and Director in incident and error reporting requirements.
- Review fees associated with vendor billing for ETFs and review month-end expense accruals for accuracy.
- Act as a backup in the absence of senior analysts, performing coverage over required oversight functions in the team.
- Assist in reviewing fund continuous disclosure documents including Annual and Semi-Annual financial statements and the Management Report of Fund Performance.
- Assist in reviewing the Fund’s year-end distributions and related Fund tax filings as required for each calendar year.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years or more related experience within the financial services industry, primarily Fund Accounting or Oversight roles within Fund Administrators or Fund Manufacturers.
- University degree within Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.
- Fund Accounting experience and/or fund industry related experience required.
- Enrolment or completion of the CPA or CFA designation is an asset.
- Proficiency in Excel required.
