We understand our customers’ need for service excellence and are committed to it.</p><p><strong>Canlan Sports</strong> is currently looking for a <strong>Janitor worker</strong></p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p><p>We are currently looking for a pro-active janitor that is a hands-on individual who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.</p><p>If you have a passion for a high-growth environment and are committed to creating impact while seeking continuous improvement, we want to talk to you!</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes</li><li>Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:</li><li>Property & grounds cleanup</li><li>Grass cutting and edging</li><li>Seasonal snow and debris removal</li><li>Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:</li><li>Change room cleanliness</li><li>Window cleanliness</li><li>Washroom cleaning checklist</li><li>Shower cleaning checklist</li><li>Parking lot & property cleaning checklist</li><li>Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures</li><li>Assist with minor maintenance as required</li><li>Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Knowledge Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset</li><li>Valid driver’s license an asset</li><li>Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)</li><li>Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)\</li><li>Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)</li><li>Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills (verbal and written)</li></ul><p><strong><em>NOTE:</em></strong><em> Only those applicants under consideration will be contacted.
