<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Job Details</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Calgary AB.</p><p><strong>Status:</strong> Permanent, Full-Time</p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> This position operates Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 with overtime and on-call duties as required. This position will be based in Calgary AB, however may require some out of town work. We provide traffic control, on-street services and signage products and services across Canada, currently operating out of offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Langley, Kamloops, Brandon, Winnipeg and Mississauga.</p><p>As the successful candidate you will demonstrate the ATS Traffic Core Values at work every day:</p><ul><li><strong>Do What’s Right</strong></li><li><strong>Our People Matter</strong></li><li><strong>Trust Through Teamwork</strong></li><li><strong>Striving for Excellence</strong></li></ul><p></p><strong>About the Positions</strong><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor daily traffic control schedules and mobilize resources effectively.</li><li>Support supervisors with calls, site meetings, and operational issues, including rotational on-call support for technician questions.</li><li>Lead crews in the setup, operation, and takedown of work zones to OSS standards.</li><li>Delegate assignments and support crew development through coaching and mentorship (Levels 1–3).</li><li>Assist with training and onboarding of new hires.</li><li>Crosstrain and provide introductions to job planning, estimates, drawings, permits, and scheduling.</li><li>Lead hazard assessments and enforce safe work practices.</li><li>Inspect and audit work zones for compliance, correcting deficiencies immediately.</li><li>Complete site inspections and Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observations on a weekly basis.</li><li>Ensure paperwork, equipment logs, and timesheets are completed and submitted accurately (up to 6 direct reports on UKG).</li><li>Maintain trucks, tools, and rental equipment in clean, safe working order.</li><li>Perform all regular duties of a traffic technician.</li><li>Ensure any work zone deficiencies are corrected in timely manner.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Approximately <strong>1-5 years previous experience in a similar role</strong>. Preference will be given to candidates with traffic related experience</li><li><strong>Previous supervisory and/or traffic control experience is required</strong>. </li><li>Ability to drive a one ton flat-deck truck. </li><li>Must successfully complete drug and alcohol and fit test. <strong><em>*Note: This includes the use of marijuana, medical or non.
