Your new role

As a Leasing Law Clerk / Legal Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting legal and administrative processes related to leasing and franchising across North America. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and managing commercial lease documentation
  • Drafting and maintaining franchise agreements, including disclosures, amendments, terminations, resales, and compliance across jurisdictions
  • Organizing and updating legal databases and filing systems for leases and franchises
  • Coordinating corporate registrations, annual filings, and trademark documentation
  • Overseeing insurance documentation and compliance for all locations
  • Communicating with external legal counsel and internal stakeholders to support legal processes
  • Conducting legal research, due diligence, and preparing reports for internal use
  • Ensuring all documentation complies with current legislation and is completed in a timely manner
  • Supporting cross-functional teams and contributing to special projects as needed


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal support role, with a focus on leasing and franchise documentation
  • Post-secondary education in a legal or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, organized, and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with external partners
