There are many available positions in long term care for Licensed Practical Nurses who have a passion for working with seniors; or with home nursing, where you will provide care to people of all ages in their homes and other community settings.</p><p>In collaboration with the Registered Nurse, the LPN performs a wide variety of resident care functions within the scope of practice, code of ethics, and governing legislation. The LPN provides a leadership and supervisory role to the Continuing Care Attendant/Personal Care Worker.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assisting clients with various personal care activities</li><li>Use of lifts and slings to transfer patients with a movement disorder</li><li>Administration of medication</li><li>Nighttime monitoring and assistance</li><li>Light housekeeping (Laundry, washing dishes, sweeping and wiping of surfaces)</li><li>Basic food prep of a blenderized feed for the clients</li><li>Outings in the community</li><li>Facilitation of community inclusion activities</li></ul><p><strong>Core Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Current Licensed (or eligible for license) with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Immediate openings</li><li>Positions Available Across the Province</li><li>Attractive Compensation and Benefits Package</li></ul></p></p>
