We are seeking a Manager of Actuarial for the Personal Lines Pricing System to join our high-performing team. This role supports the Personal Lines pricing, Corporate Underwriting, Strategic Initiatives & Risk Control teams and focuses on profitably capitalizing on the largest line of business across the IFC portfolio. The manager will supervise the quality of deliverables affecting rating, underwriting and strategic project deployments to systems, coordinate work, foster collaboration, and guide team development.
What You'll Do Here
- Formulate appropriate recommendations after analyzing and interpreting reports/requirements produced by actuarial analysts and teams to improve the performance of products and services.
- Enhance and streamline workflows through collaboration with diverse stakeholders, grounded in a deep understanding of the shared ecosystem.
- Manage the evaluation, development and coaching of members of their group to achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
- Organize, plan and control the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget planning.
- Provide technical advice to group members responsible for actuarial work and studies (product rating, reserves, financial projections, regulatory contributions, etc.).
- Represent the actuarial function in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with other business units.
What You Bring To The Table
- University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Job-specific designation: Mathematics, Actuarial Science; FCAS an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years including 2 years of coaching (major asset).
- Strong skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques. Pega knowledge an asset.

- Bi-lingual (French-English); for candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required due to interaction with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
