Overview
Manager, Manufacturing Operations – Tim Hortons Manufacturing (Ancaster) – Job Opportunity. Operations Manager — Multi-Shift Food Manufacturing (Coffee) | Ancaster, Ontario | On-site. Make every cup count. As Operations Manager, you’ll lead a multi-shift, high-throughput plant producing roasted and packaged coffee loved by millions. You’ll own production, warehousing, and inventory performance—delivering safe, high-quality product on time while developing a high-performing team and driving continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
- Lead & develop the team: Build capability across supervisors and hourly staff through hiring, training, coaching, and fair performance management; foster an engaged, inclusive, and safety-first culture.
- Run the plan: Own master scheduling and daily execution to meet volume and service targets across raw materials, labour, and line time.
- Own inventory: Manage green coffee consumption, WIP, finished goods, and packaging to plan; maintain accurate system records and cycle counts.
- Quality & food safety: Partner with QA to meet GMP, HACCP and BRC/BRCGS standards; deliver in-spec product right-first-time.
- Drive continuous improvement: Lead problem-solving and Kaizen efforts to improve OEE, yield, changeover time, and material loss; embed TPM practices.
- Deliver results: Track KPIs (OEE, schedule adherence, scrap, safety indicators) and review performance with the team to close gaps.
- Steward resources: Build and manage operating/project budgets and schedules while complying with company and regulatory policies.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ leadership in food, beverage, or pharma manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with GMP, HACCP, BRC/BRCGS, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven people leadership with clear communication and accountability.
- Comfort with production systems and KPIs (e.g., SAP or similar ERP).
