If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding, consider joining the BDS team!</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>The Position:</strong></p><p>BDS is looking for an experienced Mobile Crane/Picker Truck Operator with a valid class 1 license. The operator is an integral member of the team who will be operating a 45 ton and/or 70-ton picker truck. You will be responsible for assisting with transportation and placement of loads and materials. Following company and client policies and procedures, safety, and efficiency matter to you.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>The Location:</strong></p><p>The position will be based out of our Acheson location. You will be traveling from Acheson to a specific job location for scheduled work and returning to Acheson for days off.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li> Operate a 45-ton and/or 70-ton Picker Truck and associated equipment in a safe, professional and responsible manner</li><li> Load, unload and safely secure cargo as required</li><li> Communicate effectively with swampers/riggers, supervision and other crew members</li><li> Perform pre-operational inspections including hazard assessments, calculating crane capabilities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting</li><li> Complete relevant paperwork as required by National Safety Code and legal standards in an accurate and timely manner</li><li> Responsible for loading equipment and properly securing loads in a manner that ensures compliance with weight restrictions and government regulations</li><li> To complete job tasks with personal and public safety as a top priority</li><li> Maintain and clean and organized work environment</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li> Minimum 5 years experience operating large picker trucks</li><li> Alberta Journeyman Crane and Hoisting Operator</li><li> Valid Class 1 drivers license & must provide commercial drivers abstract</li><li> Maintain legal drivers logs using ELDs (Electronic logging)</li><li> Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision</li><li> Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing</li><li> Willing to work away from home for extended periods of time</li><li> Experience lifting buildings and tandem lifts is considered an asset<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Benefits & Compensation:</strong></p><ul><li> Competitive Wages</li><li> Extended health care</li><li> Dental care</li><li> Life Insurance</li><li> Employee assistance program</li><li> Positive and safe work environment</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>At BDS we offer a comfortable work environment where hard work and a positive attitude are rewarded.
