Please note, we are only looking to proceed with candidates who have part-time WEEKEND availability and meet the scheduling requirements below.</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Scheduling Requirements: </strong></p><ul><li><strong>Full and Part-Time Positions available: </strong>PSW must be available for 12-hour shifts on Saturdays AND Sundays </li><li><strong>MUST</strong> be available <strong>Saturday and Sunday, flexibility for day, evening, and overnight shifts preferred.</strong></li><li><strong>MUST </strong>be able to commit to a <strong>consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule</strong> for the foreseeable future</li><li>available and willing to see multiple clients throughout the day</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.</li><li>Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a person stay at home).</li><li>Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family&#39;s request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine). </li><li>Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker</li><li>Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.</li><li>Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.</li><li>Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.</li><li>Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.</li><li>Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><ul><li><strong>MUST have a valid driver&#39;s license and reliable access to a car that can be used for daily work</strong></li><li><strong>Ability to travel between assignments within designated areas of work, an asset if you can travel to rural/remote areas.</strong></li><li><strong>Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English</strong></li></ul><ul><li>PSW certification from an approved and recognized educational institution or International nursing/ doctorate Certification</li></ul><ul><li>Negative TB Test completed within the last year</li><li>Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate</li><li>Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion</li><li>COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s <em>Human Rights Code</em></li><li>Immunization for measles, rubella, varicella, tetanus, and Diphtheria <strong>REQUIRED, </strong>immunization of Hepatitis B is strongly urged.</li><li>Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.</li><li><strong>Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English</strong></li><li>Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.</li><li>Requires good judgement, the ability to work independently, and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team</li><li><strong>Current/Valid Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) Registration an asset</strong></li></ul></ul><p></p><p>*The Care Company can make <span >accommodations/modifications</span> for individuals with disabilities during the hiring and onboarding process.
