<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Recreation Therapist required for seniors&#39; living facility.</strong></p><p>Green Acres Foundation is seeking a team-oriented multi-tasker who is flexible, enthusiastic, has great leadership skills, and a positive attitude to help as a Recreation Therapist at our facility in <strong>Picture Butte, Alberta</strong>.</p><p>Does this sound like you? We are a self-motivated bunch who finds coming to work fun, so strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST.</p><p>Basic Responsibilities of the position include:</p><ul><li>Co-ordinating, planning, and implementing programs and recreation-based treatment activities for senior residents based on their needs.</li><li>Leading, motivating, and assuming responsibility for residents in a variety of individual and group therapy programs, both in the facility and in the community.</li><li>Consulting with the Manager in the selection of activities most appropriate to meet the residents&#39; needs and abilities, based on individual care plans.</li><li>Recruiting, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating volunteers in assigned programs.</li></ul><p>Requirements for the position:</p><ul><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.</li><li>Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data.</li><li>Diploma or degree in Therapeutic Recreation</li><li>Minimum 2 years&#39; experience in related recreational field preferred.</li><li>Current and on-going satisfactory Criminal Record Check.</li><li>Valid Class 4 driver&#39;s license.</li><li>Current satisfactory driver&#39;s abstract</li><li>Current claims experience letter</li><li>First Aid certification is an asset</li></ul><p>Green Acres Foundation was voted the Lethbridge Sun&#39;s Best of the Best for Seniors Living Complex every year since 2018.</p><p>Green Acres Foundation recognizes the diversity within the communities in which we serve and strive to ensure that our housing program & services, our facilities, and our employment opportunities are inclusive to all people.</p></p></p>
