We are looking to hire a local candidate.</p><p><br><br></p><p>Why Work with Us?</p><ul><li>Competitive Compensation</li><li>Benefits Packages including Health, Dental & Vision</li><li>Employment close to home</li><li>A Safe Working Environment</li><li>Stable Employment </li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Managing overall repair and maintenance for light trucks, heavy trucks, trailers, equipment and inventory</li><li>Responsible to prioritize work, job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling, allocation for the day-to-day operations and managing operating/staffing costs of the shop</li><li>Supervising staff daily activities to ensure efficient job performance and timely repairs</li><li>Supervise accurate shipping and receiving of inventory</li><li>Review repair orders and inspect the quality of repairs done before release of vehicles and equipment</li><li>Ensure required vehicle inspections, equipment certificates, annual CVIPs are completed per expiry dates and government regulations</li><li>Maintain and manage daily records of repairs and services to vehicles and equipment</li><li>Work with Transportation Compliance and Vertex Fleet to coordinate rentals, permits and out of province reports</li><li>Ensure the Vertex Fleet receives regular maintenance reports</li><li>Work with Vertex Procurement team to ensure inventory is kept up to date and communicate when needed<br /></li><li>Overseeing equipment and inventory is ready for jobs and receiving <span >equipment/inventory</span> back from jobs</li><li>Ensuring Vertex Accounting is provided consumables used and that jobs are charged for equipment repairs</li><li>Coordinate third party maintenance/repair shops for scheduling equipment for repairs</li><li>Understand and demonstrate Vertexs mission, vision, and values; constantly strive to support Vertex&#39;s achievements of corporate goals and objective<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Candidate Qualifications</p><ul><li>Drug & Alcohol Testing (Provided by Vertex)</li><li>Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean commercial drivers abstract</li><li>3-5 years experience in a leadership role </li><li><span >Experience/familiar</span> with Industrial Cleaning and Heavy Duty Equipment</li><li>Excellent leadership and team building skills</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and record keeping</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Assets to Have</p><ul><li>Valid Class 1 or 3 drivers license<br /></li><li><span >Background/experience</span> with Inventory</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>APPLY NOW</p><p>With a track record of success, Vertex provides a fast-paced environment where people thrive.
