<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Edmonton, AB<br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-time<br /><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $100,000 $140,000 yearly (depending on experience)</p><strong>Scope of Work</strong><p>A growing <strong>construction company</strong> specializing in <strong>high-quality residential and multi-residential projects</strong> in the Edmonton area is seeking a <strong>skilled and experienced Construction Site Superintendent</strong> to oversee all aspects of <strong>on-site operations</strong> for <strong>multi-family, apartment-style, 4+ storey, wood frame construction projects</strong> from start to finish.</p><p>The successful candidate will ensure that projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.</p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li><p><strong>Site Management:</strong> Oversee daily on-site operations, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of trades and subcontractors.</p></li><li><p><strong>Project Execution:</strong> Ensure all construction activities align with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.</p></li><li><p><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Maintain high-quality standards through inspections and timely resolution of discrepancies.</p></li><li><p><strong>Safety Compliance:</strong> Enforce health and safety regulations and foster a culture of safety on site.</p></li><li><p><strong>Resource Management:</strong> Manage materials, equipment, and workforce efficiently to prevent delays and cost overruns.</p></li><li><p><strong>Reporting:</strong> Provide regular progress reports to the Construction Manager and project stakeholders, addressing milestones and potential challenges.</p></li><li><p><strong>Team Collaboration:</strong> Promote effective communication among project teams, clients, and partners.</p></li></ul><strong>General Duties</strong><ul><li><p>Supervise daily field operations in compliance with company policies and safety standards.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate subcontractors and trades to ensure timely project completion.</p></li><li><p>Monitor progress and make schedule or resource adjustments as needed.</p></li><li><p>Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to project drawings, codes, and quality expectations.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with project management on budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation.</p></li><li><p>Review and interpret schematics and blueprints to guide construction activities.</p></li><li><p>Assist with estimating and bidding processes when required.</p></li><li><p>Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and milestones.</p></li></ul><strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>10 years of construction experience</strong>, with at least <strong>5 years as a Site Superintendent</strong> overseeing multi-family, 4-storey (or higher) wood frame residential projects with parkades.</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of <strong>local building codes, OH&S standards, and permitting requirements</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Proven <strong>leadership, organization, and team management</strong> skills.</p></li><li><p>Excellent <strong>communication, problem-solving, and decision-making</strong> abilities.</p></li><li><p>Proficient in <strong>Microsoft Office</strong> and construction management tools/software.</p></li><li><p>Valid <strong>Class 5 drivers license</strong> and access to a reliable vehicle.</p></li><li><p>Skilled in <strong>reading blueprints and schematics</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience in <strong>budgeting and quality control</strong>; estimating experience considered an asset.</p></li></ul><strong>Physical & Additional Requirements</strong><ul><li><p>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely climb ladders or stairs.</p></li><li><p>Use of <strong>Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</strong> such as steel-toed boots and hard hats is mandatory.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required by project schedules.</p></li></ul><strong>Why Join Us?</strong><p>Our company is committed to building <strong>exceptional projects and careers</strong>.
