<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Actalent is seeking a Software Systems Engineer for a position in the downtown area of Ottawa, Ontario.</strong></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>Join a pioneering Systems Modeling team focused on architecting, developing, and maintaining a cutting-edge system modeling application. This advanced engineering software operates on high-performance computing infrastructure, specializing in resource allocation and evaluating end-to-end performance for a large-scale satellite constellation.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop, and validate advanced algorithms in MATLAB to optimize system performance and reliability while adhering to system requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with the Software Development and Quality Assurance teams to integrate new algorithms, upgrade existing ones, and enhance testing coverage.</li><li>Improve link budget performance with a focus on RF.</li><li>Work closely with the Software Development team for efficient software integration of new and upgraded algorithms.</li><li>Interface with other engineering disciplines to define satellite payload and ground segment characteristics, performance metrics, evaluations, and ensure regulatory compliance.</li><li>Support detailed studies of system performance validating the concept of operation between satellite and ground systems.</li><li>Draft technical requirements and documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive MATLAB programming and development experience.</li><li>Strong Python scripting skills.</li><li>Experience developing software in a large code base</li></ul><p><strong>Assets</strong></p><ul><li>Understanding of Mathematical Optimization (MILP).</li><li>Experience with satellite systems and orbital mechanics.</li><li>Research experience in UAV networks.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p><p>This role is based on-site in downtown Ottawa, with a hybrid work schedule allowing for four days in the office and one day remote (Wednesday).</p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract position based out of Ottawa, ON.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00/hr.</p><strong>Workplace Type</strong><p>This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa,ON.</p><p></p><p></p>À propos d&#39;Actalent: <p> Actalent est un chef de file mondial des services d’ingénierie et de sciences et des solutions de talents.
