There is no option to work remotely.</p><h3>Work setting</h3><ul><li>Installation</li><li>Urban area</li><li>Maintenance</li><li>On-site customer service</li><li>Rural area</li><li>Various locations</li><li>Repair</li><li>Service</li><li>Willing to relocate</li></ul><h3>Responsibilities Tasks</h3><ul><li>Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment</li><li>Inspect trunking systems</li><li>Repair cable signals</li><li>Test trunking systems</li><li>Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment</li><li>Inspect operation of telecommunications equipment</li><li>Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware</li><li>Repair or replace defective telephone equipment</li><li>Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults</li><li>Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software</li><li>Complete and maintain test and service reports</li><li>Determine nature, cause and location of trouble</li><li>Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel</li><li>Install electromechanical, analog and digital trunking systems, circuits and equipment in telecommunications central offices and switching centres</li><li>Instruct apprentices</li><li>Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment</li><li>Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures</li><li>Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets</li><li>Determine work assignments</li><li>Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access</li><li>Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems</li><li>Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers</li></ul></p>
