<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI / UX Designer to lead the design and user experience for both our internal intranet and external-facing website. This role will ensure a visually engaging, accessible, and user-friendly digital presence that aligns with best practices and organizational goals.</p><p>This will be 20+/- hours per week, for the next 3-4 months, remote. Starting asap!</p><p>Base pay range: CA$45.00/hr - CA$65.00/hr</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Develop and implement the look and feel for both the intranet and external website.</li><li>Apply best web design practices to ensure consistency, usability, and performance.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders using existing wireframes and templates to guide design decisions.</li><li>Select and adapt templates based on user experience principles and AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliance.</li><li>Analyze and incorporate current website analytics to inform design improvements and user flow optimization.</li><li>Lead the migration from the legacy SharePoint platform to a new, modern web platform, ensuring continuity, improved usability, and accessibility.</li><li>Work closely with IT and content owners to ensure a smooth transition and accurate content mapping.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Proven experience in web design, UX/UI, or digital communications.</li><li>Strong understanding of web standards, responsive design, and accessibility (AODA).</li><li>Experience with SharePoint and web platform migrations.</li><li>Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch) and CMS platforms.</li><li>Ability to interpret wireframes and translate them into functional, engaging designs.</li><li>Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to drive data-informed decisions.</li></ul><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Seniority level: Mid-Senior level</li><li>Employment type: Part-time</li><li>Job function: Design</li><li>Industries: Design Services and Digital Accessibility Services</li></ul><p>Additional information: Referrals increase your chances of interview success.
