<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Apprentice Carpenter- 2nd Year</p><p><br /></p><p>Firma Contracting is a heavy civil / underground utility contractor currently working on commercial and industrial concrete projects located in Edmonton.</p><p><br /></p><p>We offer competitive wages, winter work, RRSP program, benefits, work / life balance and a great company culture!</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Perform carpentry for formwork on the project</li><li>Adherence to project specifications, code and corporate safety requirements on all sites<br /></li><li>Proficient knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, screw gun</li><li>Experience or willingness to be trained on equipment operation is an asset</li><li>Other tasks as required by the site foreman</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>3+ years of carpentry experience</li><li>Concrete and formwork experience an asset<br /></li><li>Good verbal communication skills<br /></li><li>Candidate must have excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work</li><li>Exceptional analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills</li><li>Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment<br /></li><li>Must have own vehicle and valid drivers license</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Tools Required</p><p><br /></p><p> Tape Measure 25 ft, metric and imperial (dual scale)<br /> Speed Square standard aluminum or heavy-duty plastic<br /> Chalk Line chalk provided by Firma<br /> Carpenters Pencils and Permanent Markers 1 full set<br /> String Line minimum one roll<br /> Level 6 inch to 12 inch<br /> small folding Handsaw <br /> Utility Knife <br /> Hammer any size or style (16 oz to 22 oz typical)<br /> Small Sledge Hammer optional<br /> Cats Paw <br /> Multi-Bit Screwdriver <br /> Adjustable / Thumb / Crescent Wrench 8" to 10"<br /> Channel-Lock Pliers <br /> Rebar Tying Pliers (Kleins or Unicorn)<br /> Extra Belt with single Pouch <br />Carpenters Pouch minimum six compartments required<br /> Framing Square mandatory for Journeyman Carpenters</p><p><br /></p><p>Additional Gear Required</p><p>Rechargeable Headlamp required; lighting is provided, but workers may need personal lighting for tight or dark areas.<br />Batteries or charging cables will not be provided by Firma.<br />Rain Gear / Winter Gear must be supplied by the worker.<br />Steel-Toe Boots required for all workers.<br />Rubber Boots required for all workers during concrete pours</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
