Assistant Driller

Job Description

The Driller's Helper is a crucial part of the 2 person drilling crew, responsible for supporting the day to day operation of the drilling rig including operation, mobilization, de-mobilization, maintenance and safety. The assistant role is a physically demanding position ideal for motivated individuals with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.<br><br>
Responsibilities:<ul><li>Ensure all site specific safety policies and procedures are followed.</li><li>Actively participate in all safety related meetings including: daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment, etc.</li><li>Help conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.</li><li>Help the Driller in the daily operation of drilling rig.</li><li>Perform basic equipment maintenance and repair.</li><li>Cleaning equipment and keeping work area clean.</li><li>Perform general labouring duties as required.</li><li>G License required.</li><li>Having a DZ license is considered an asset.</li></ul>
