<p>Position Title</p><p>Assistant Maintenance Manager</p><p>Purpose of Position</p><p>Support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the effective, efficient, and safe operation of all SATC facilities and property. Assist with the day-to-day upkeep and provide leadership in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. This role is hands-on and requires a reliable, mature individual who can balance independent work with team collaboration.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Assist the Maintenance Manager with the daily upkeep of facilities, including clay court maintenance, hard court sweeping/cleaning, garbage removal, and building cleanliness.</p><p>Provide hands-on support with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and ARU systems, escalating issues to the Maintenance Manager as required.</p><p>Carry out routine maintenance tasks and coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.</p><p>Take a lead role in seasonal work such as landscaping, snow and ice removal, and facility preparation.</p><p>Act as the first point of contact for urgent maintenance needs when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable.</p><p>Maintain accurate logs of work completed, supplies used, and issues identified.</p><p>Assist in monitoring utilities and identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.</p><p>Qualifications and Skills</p><p>Experience in facility maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general trades an asset).</p><p>Ability to work independently and show initiative.</p><p>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</p><p>Reliable, mature, and safety-minded.</p><p>Comfortable working outdoors and in varied conditions.</p><p>Ability to coordinate with and provide guidance to maintenance staff.</p><p>Hours of Work</p><p>This is a full-time position, averaging 35 hours per week. Early mornings, weekends, and occasional holidays are expected to meet operational and seasonal demands. Typical shifts are daily from 5am-11am.</p><p>Salary Range</p><p>Between $52,500 and $57,500 annually, depending on experience and proven reliability.</p><p>Reports Directly to</p><p>Maintenance Manager</p><p>Work Environment</p><p>This role is primarily on-site at the Sobeys Atlantic Tennis Centre.
