<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $20-$28 CAD per Hour<br /><p>Job Title: Carpenter Semi-Automated Panelized Wall Line</p><p><br><br></p><p>Position Overview:</p><p>The Carpenter will work as part of the production team manufacturing panelized wall systems in a semi-automated facility. This role involves reading shop drawings, assembling wall panels using both traditional carpentry tools and automated machinery, and ensuring quality, precision, and safety throughout the process.</p><p><br><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Assemble panelized wall components (studs, plates, sheathing, insulation, etc.) according to shop drawings and production plans.</li><li>Operate semi-automated machinery such as saws, framing tables, nailing bridges, and material handling systems.</li><li>Ensure panels meet quality standards, including correct dimensions, fastener patterns, and material specifications.</li><li>Interpret and follow technical drawings, layouts, and work orders accurately.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient production flow.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.</li><li>Identify and report material shortages or defects to the supervisor.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for process efficiency and quality enhancement.<br><br></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of carpentry or framing experience (manufacturing or construction).</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.</li><li>Experience using power tools, pneumatic nailers, measuring instruments, and jigs.</li><li>Familiarity with automated or semi-automated production equipment is an asset.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, quality, and precision.</li><li>Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced production environment.</li><li>Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.<br><br></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Experience in prefabricated or modular construction environments.</li><li>Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and lean production principles.</li><li>Forklift or overhead crane operation experience (training provided if needed).<br><br></li></ul><p>Working Conditions:</p><ul><li>Indoor manufacturing facility environment.</li><li>Exposure to moderate noise, sawdust, and moving machinery.</li><li>Standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.</li></ul><p><br><br></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
