Clean Harbors is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join their safety conscious team in Delta, BC Please note this is a unionized position. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Tractor Trailer units for the safe transportation of hazardous waste from client sites to the designated Clean Harbors facility.Route Schedule: Specifically handling waste pick-up by servicing our clients in the Lower Mainland & province wide. The individual will also handle routes out of province – such as transporting waste to our Ryley Alberta landfill, that may require 3 or more days on the road.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Perform drum pick-ups from customer sites operating Tractor Trailers.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.).
- Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
- Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units.
- Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets, timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.
- Responsible for the proper placarding of vehicle to meet all requirements/regulations.
- Maintain and clean assigned company equipment as well as ensure the equipment is mechanically sound and in good order.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 driver's license required.
- 2+ years of previous operating experience of Tractor Trailers.
- Ability to physically load and unload drums and other materials.
- Forklift certified highly preferred.
- Previous experience with manual transmission, 18 speed required.
- Live within close commuting distance to our Delta facility to pick/drop off up the truck.
