Creative Designer
Job Description
We're VEGAIN.
We build plant-based performance nutrition for people who take their training seriously. We work with UFC athletes, pro teams, and retailers that move fast. We're scaling quickly, and now we need a
hands-on designer
who can keep up.
This is not a "sit back and wait for briefs" role. This is for someone who likes being close to the product, close to the team, and close to the action.
What You'll Actually Do
You'll be our
go-to creative executor
: the person who takes ideas, photos, and products and turns them into polished, on-brand assets that show up everywhere. You won't be doing everything at once, but you'll take ownership across multiple areas and help us focus on what moves the brand forward.
That includes:
- Designing compliant
packaging
(labels, formats, revisions, retailer-ready files) - Creating
digital assets
for ads, email, social, and web - Turning existing photography into
ads, promos, and retail materials - Designing
brochures, posters, sell sheets, and retailer support assets - Supporting
web design updates
(front-end, UI/UX support, but not heavy dev) - Creating
swag and branded materials - Light
video editing
(ads, social clips = big bonus, not a dealbreaker) - Helping connect the dots between photography, film, packaging, and brand
Must-Haves
- Strong working knowledge of
Photoshop & Illustrator - Experience with
graphic design
and
packaging design - Ability to format files cleanly for
print and digital - Strong visual judgment and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a
fast-moving, non-9-5 environment - Willingness to be on-site for key moments, launches, and events
Nice-to-Haves (Extra Gravy)
- Video editing experience (Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, etc.)
- UI/UX or web design experience
- Experience designing for
CPG, retail, food, beverage, or sports brands - Hospitality or experiential brand background
- Photography knowledge
Who This Is For
You're scrappy. You're practical. You're driven, and care deeply about the quality of your work.
You likely:
- Have
2-5 years
of hands-on design experience - Are comfortable owning projects start to finish
- Like working
in-person
, especially when things are moving fast - Want to grow with a brand
You're not afraid of:
- Ambiguity
- Tight timelines
- Feedback
- Doing the work, not just talking about it
Why You'll Like Working Here
- Direct access to founders who've built and exited companies
- Real ownership over how the brand looks in the world
- Massive growth runway (we just landed major retail partners and things are moving)
- Hybrid setup at our
downtown Vancouver HQ - Benefits + gym access (pool, sauna, squash court)
- Coffee, snacks, sporting events , and a team that's actually in it together
The Details
- Salary:
$50K–$80K salary, based on skills and experience - Type:
Full-time - Location:
Hybrid (Vancouver HQ) - Environment:
Vegan-friendly office - Team:
Small, tight-knit, no egos
Bottom line:
This is a
builder role
. If you want a polished corporate design job, this isn't it. If you want to help shape a fast-growing brand and see your work everywhere, this absolutely is.
