Job Description
Our client in Brampton Ontario who is a large transportation services provider is looking for Dispatchers to join their team!This position features:Hourly Wage: $22.50/hour Hybrid – 4 days on site, 1 day WFHShift: Training will be completed on the day shift for 2-3 weeks, then move to set shift candidate has picked.Nights – 10:00PM-6:00AM (Mon to Friday, OR Sun to Thurs)
Nights Weekends – 5PM-6AM Friday-Sunday (39 hrs)
Afternoons x 2 – 2:00PM-10:00PMEmployment Type: Temporary to PermanentKey Responsibilities:
-Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers and equipment to meet daily transportation requirements.
-Monitor route performance, delivery timelines, and shipment status, resolving issues proactively.
-Communicate regularly with drivers, carriers, and distribution centres to ensure smooth operations.
-Update transportation management systems with accurate load and route information.
-Troubleshoot delays, equipment issues, or exceptions to minimize service impacts.
-Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies.
-Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transportation network.Qualifications:
-Minimum of 2 years experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatching required
-Strong communication, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
-Proficiency with dispatch or transportation management systems.
