Field-Service Technician (Commissioners) – Be the product owner of high speed and precision automated equipment

Weare currently seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer (Commissioners) to install, commission, and support advanced packaging automation systems. The ideal candidate brings strong electro-mechanical skills, thrives on solving real-world challenges, and is excited to travel to customer sites (and the world)! Commissioners display strong technical knowledge to the global customers, as well as providing pristine customer service internationally. International travel up to 50% is required! Client focuses on developing, empowering, and energizing the team through coaching, treat days and team events.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of system installation and commissioning through to customer acceptance.
  • Work directly with cross-functional engineering teams and clients during design reviews and on-site implementations.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical challenges, resolve root-cause issues, and document actionable solutions.
  • Train operators and maintenance staff on best practices for setup, performance optimization, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 4+ years of hands-on commissioning experience with automated systems or packaging machinery.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and engineering schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and technical.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (nationally and internationally).
  • Must have a Valid Canadian Passport

They must be able to travel 50% of the time per year GLOBALLY / INTERNATIONAL Avg travel time is 3-4 weeks for commissioners

There are some travel that could go up to 6-8 weeks due to customers buying multiple lines, they must be comfortable with these outlier travel projects.
