Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) invites applications for the Financial Counsellor role.


About CFMWS


CFMWS supports Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families. Programs include recreation, sports, fitness, customized financial services, retail, and family support.


About SISIP Financial


SISIP Financial offers financial solutions, insurance, investment, and financial education for CAF members and families. It is commission‑free and operates 23 offices nationwide.


The Role


The SISIP Financial Counsellor (FC) provides support and advice on personal financial management to serving CAF members and spouses. They deliver financial education, facilitate financial plans, and maintain relationships with the client community.


Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or related field.

  • Accredited Financial Counsellor Canada (AFCC) designation: an asset.


Experience



  • Personal lending.

  • Debt or financial counselling.

  • Litigation matters and negotiations.

  • Assessments and referrals to other professionals.

  • Organizing and delivering presentations.

Responsibilities



  • Monitor client accounts to ensure relationship management, compliance and regulatory adherence.

  • Work with manager to develop and manage business plan, set strategies, targets, and goals.

  • Conduct presentations, deepen partner relationships and develop and retain client relationships with CAF members and families.

  • Provide remedial, preventative, and informative financial counselling.

  • Develop referral base and make assessments and referrals to professionals.

  • Implement individual plans for corrective money management.

  • Guide and counsel to facilitate management of client financial affairs and scheduled monitoring interviews.

  • Maintain required licenses and comply with ethical behaviour, corporate policies, industry standards and regulations.


Other Information


Language Requirement: English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) – an asset.
Reading: Advanced.
Writing: Functional.
Oral: Advanced.


Start Date: January 5, 2026.
Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday-Friday, on-site.


Salary: Salary plus Employee Performance Plan.
Selection process: Done virtually.
