Forklift Operator

Job Description

Our client, a leading logistics and distribution center in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting various departments including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Mississauga, ON

Shifts
Morning: 6:00am to 2:30pm
Afternoon: 2:00pm to 10:30pm
Night: 10:00pm to 6:30am

Pay Range: $21.60 - $22.90 per hour

What's the Job?

• Operate electric Powered Industrial Trucks such as Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Rider Jacks, and Sit Down Forklifts to move merchandise and materials within the warehouse.
• Pick, pull, and stack merchandise, including boxes up to 50 pounds, onto pallets for distribution.
• Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
• Support various warehouse functions including receiving, returns, damages, transfers, and shipping as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of experience operating Cherry Pickers or similar equipment; Reach Truck/Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to acquire and maintain Forklift Certification.
• Comfort working at heights and wearing fall protection and other PPE.
• Proficiency with RF scanners, voice picking systems, and other warehouse technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent counting skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
