Job Title: General Manager / Director of Projects

About the Role:
Our client is a mechanical contractor based in Vaughan, ON. They are looking for an experienced leader to manage multiple projects and teams. This person will work closely with the President to ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all construction projects from start to finish
- Lead and support project managers, site supervisors, and office staff
- Monitor project progress and visit job sites regularly
- Manage budgets, schedules, and changes to project plans
- Help with bids and support business growth
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Promote a safe and productive work environment
- Support hiring, training, and team development
What We’re Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in construction project management
- Background in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, etc.)
- Strong leadership and problem‑solving skills
- Good understanding of construction contracts and drawings
- Comfortable using project management software (e.g. Procore, MS Project)
- Knowledge of Ontario health and safety laws
