Your opportunity:

Under the direction of the Vice Principal, the Assistant to Vice Principal Academic Liaison is responsible for supporting the office of the VP by coordinating program schedules with stakeholders, documenting and maintaining curriculum maps, tracking and monitoring curriculum issues raised by stakeholders. Advise staff on program curriculum change policies and procedures, coordinating examination timetables, coordinating accreditation and/or program audit processes. The incumbent coordinates accreditation and/or program audit processes and acts as the first point of contact for internal and external auditors. The incumbent will schedule academic calendars and liaising with academic units and stakeholders to support academic calendar production initiatives. You will be well organized, exercise good judgement in a variety of situations and foster positive relationships with various stakeholders in order to ensure consistent and efficient operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Documenting and maintaining curriculum maps
  • Tracking and monitoring curriculum issues raised by contacts
  • Coordinating accreditation and/or program audit processes
  • Preparing and distributing accreditation and/or academic audit documentation
  • Liaising with academic units and stakeholders to support academic calendar production initiatives
  • Analyzing service delivery and/or internal processes and recommending improvements
  • Coordinating the recruitment and training process for teaching assistants
  • Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience with academic program coordination.
  • Experience in providing administrative support to an education program
  • Experience fostering and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholder
  • Experience managing and analyzing databases and generating reports
  • Experience independently drafting correspondence and communications
  • Experience planning logistics for program activities
  • Ability to collect and analyze data in order to create meaningful reports
  • Ability to interpret requirements and recommend changes for improvements to processes and procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, survey tools and content management systems
  • Ability to exercise initiative, tact, discretion, problem-solving skills and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal effectively with multiple priorities and projects with conflicting deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and high quality

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:

USW Pay Band 10 - $72,119. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $92,226. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
