About the role

As a Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer, you will make an impact by designing and implementing innovative solutions using Guidewire technologies to support the insurance industry. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology Solutions team and work collaboratively with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and user-centric applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and architecture of Guidewire-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Integrate Guidewire PolicyCenter with other systems to optimize performance and functionality.
  • Customize Guidewire Digital Portal to enhance user experience and engagement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure successful deployment and configuration of Guidewire Insurance Suite following best practices.
  • Conduct testing and validation of Guidewire solutions, resolving issues as needed.
  • Monitor application performance and implement improvements.
  • Stay current with Guidewire advancements and incorporate new features into existing solutions.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and configurations for knowledge sharing.

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. What you need to have to be considered:

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and Digital Portal.
  • Expertise in Guidewire predefined and custom plugins.
  • Strong understanding of Guidewire Insurance Suite fundamentals and integration techniques.
  • Proven experience implementing Guidewire solutions in a hybrid work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
