<p>Join IDP as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic</p><p>Impact Diesel Performance (IDP) is a growing, fast-paced diesel and heavy-truck repair operation built on quality workmanship, reliability, and a commitment to doing things right the first time. We take pride in keeping our customers' vehicles and fleets moving safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail, and we're looking for a skilled Heavy-Duty Mechanic to help uphold that standard.</p><p>The Heavy-Duty Mechanic is a hands-on, skilled technician responsible for maintaining and repairing customers' trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. Working closely with the service team, this role ensures high-quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency on every job while supporting the shop's operational goals and delivering excellent customer service. The Heavy-Duty Mechanic contributes to smooth workflow, helps uphold shop standards, and applies expertise to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues accurately.</p><p>What You'll Do</p><ul><li>Perform routine and preventive maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, inspections) and emergency repairs to minimize downtime on customers' vehicles and fleets.</li><li>Diagnose, repair, and replace components including brakes, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and more.</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Conduct thorough inspections to ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation.</li><li>Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and proper functionality.</li><li>Collaborate with the team to prioritize work orders and minimize customer downtime.</li><li>Accurately document service work and communicate with our team.</li><li>Maintain high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction and reduce comebacks.</li><li>Follow safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe work environment.</li><li>Share knowledge and best practices with less experienced technicians, supporting skill development.</li><li>Keep the workshop organized, professional, and clean.</li><li>Take on additional shop-related duties as needed to support overall team success.</li></ul><p>Who You Are</p><ul><li>Journeyman Truck & Transport Mechanic with 3+ years' experience.</li><li>Confident working independently with strong diagnostic and repair skills.</li><li>Practical problem-solver with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Safety-first mindset, proactive, and collaborative.</li><li>Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics.</li><li>Equipped with personal tools and physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Comfortable in a busy, active, and sometimes noisy shop environment.</li><li>Flexible and responsive to urgent or changing customer needs.</li><li>Interested in growing leadership or mentoring skills as opportunities arise.</li><li>Must hold and maintain a Saskatchewan driver's license and have an acceptable Driver's Abstract.</li><li>A Class 1A license would be an asset.</li></ul><p>Visit to learn more about us</p><p><em>Please Note: This position is listed under our parent company, G2 Enterprises; however, the role is employed directly by Impact Diesel Performance.</em></p>Create Your Resume First
