Heavy Equipment Technician (421A) – Day Shift
Based in Stoney Creek, ON
Monday to Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Travel: Local travel throughout the West Region – Stoney Creek, Hamilton, Niagara, St. Catharines, and occasionally Cambridge and Guelph
Breaks: 30-minute lunch + two paid 15-minute breaks
Training: Full in-house training on Hitachi equipment

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Technician (421A) who enjoys hands-on work, variety, and travel. In this role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment for a wide range of customers — both in-shop and on-site. Every day brings a new challenge, from troubleshooting engines and hydraulic systems to ensuring our customers’ machines run at peak performance.
What You’ll Do: Heavy Equipment Technician (421A)
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components.
Provide on-site and roadside service for heavy equipment.
Recondition and rebuild engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Communicate effectively with customers for repair authorization and updates.
Document all work accurately — service records, warranty, and work orders.
Participate in manufacturer and in-house training (including Hitachi programs).
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers’ online technical support.
What You Bring: Heavy Equipment Technician (421A)
421A Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate (or registered Apprentice).
2–3 years of hands-on experience working with heavy equipment, trucks, or diesel engines.
Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Valid G driver’s license (DZ considered an asset).
A team-first attitude and commitment to safety.
