Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a safe and efficient driving environment.

Line runs operate daily between Ottawa and Toronto, with some scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs along the route.

Paid pre-job-offer training (up to 2 weeks).

Duties

  • Safely operate a bus according to scheduled routes and timeframes.
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any delays.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical integrity of the bus, conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with disabilities or special needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Keep accurate records of passenger counts, incidents, and maintenance activities as required.
  • Properly handle mobile device and apps (training will be provided). Checking, Scanning and recording the tickets with ability to handle cash transactions as requested.
  • fueling and cleaning bus at the end of each shift

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with Valid Class B license with Air Brake endorsement and a clean driving record (current abstract requested).
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with passengers and team members.
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to identify potential issues with the bus and perform minor repairs if necessary.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
  • Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.50-$27.00 per hour
