Intermediate / Senior Municipal Engineer

As we continue to grow our business and enhance our service offerings locally, we are eagerly seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Intermediate or Senior Municipal Engineer to join our Halifax team. In this role, you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP’s multidisciplinary team from across our six (6) Atlantic Canadian offices on some of region’s most exciting infrastructure projects. If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to work on some very unique and challenging projects from across North America.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Coordinating the planning, design, and construction management of civil / municipal infrastructure projects involving site grading, site development, street reconstruction, water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, parking, and active transportation.
• Preparing construction specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Managing project budgets and schedules.
• Engaging with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior staff.
• Collaborating with a multidiscipline project team.
• Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• P.Eng. designation (or eligibility) from Engineers NS.
• 10-12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
