Friedman Estate Litigation (FEL) represents corporate, institutional, and individual clients in disputes related to wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary issues, including breaches of fiduciary duty and accounting disputes. We also address pre-death disputes such as capacity issues, undue influence, and financial elder abuse. Additionally, FEL represents clients in a variety of real estate litigation matters, leveraging our experience and business-minded approach to provide efficient, results-oriented solutions. Overview

This is a full-time hybrid or remote role for a Litigation Associate based in Barrie, ON. The Litigation Associate will assume sole carriage of complex estate, real property, and/or general civil litigation with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Assume sole carriage of complex estate, real property, and/or general civil litigation with minimal oversight

Qualifications

• Ideally 3+ years of estate or civil litigation experience
• Called to the Ontario Bar in 2021 or earlier
• Demonstrated experience in complex litigation with reported decisions or endorsements as counsel of record
• Ability to work well independently and as a team
• Willingness to see outside the box to navigate and handle difficult and complex legal issues
