Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
About role:Equation Staffing Solutions is looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a warehouse operations team in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting machinery and equipment, managing maintenance inventory, and assisting with general building maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Minimize downtime during repairs to ensure operations remain on schedule.
- Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as lighting, plumbing, or general repairs as needed.
- Support equipment installation and relocation projects.
- Maintain accurate service and repair logs.
- Manage and track inventory of parts, supplies, and tools to ensure availability for repairs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and diagrams.
- Welding experience is an asset.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Comfortable working around noise, dust, changing temperatures, and moving warehouse equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications are a plus).
