<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>About the Role</p><p>The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for providing skilled labour for Steelhaus business units and facilities. This role will be responsible for the performing maintenance in a safe manner, and to manufacturer specifications and recommendations to ensure equipment is operating as intended.</p><p><br /></p><p>Position Details:<br /></p><ul><li>Shift: Friday to Sunday, 12 hour shifts<br /></li><li>Location: NE, Calgary AB</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>General Maintenance </p><ul><li>Troubleshoot and perform repairs to buildings, equipment, and systems.<ul><li>CNC Machines (Mill, Lathe, Punch Press, Drill, etc.)</li><li>Air compressors</li><li>Material handling systems</li></ul></li><li>Mechanical systems</li><li>Hydraulic systems</li><li>Electrical systems</li><li>General plumbing</li><li>Work with facility management to schedule repairs</li><li>Conduct necessary research and find answers independently.</li></ul><p></p><p>Preventative Maintenance and troubleshooting</p><ul><li>Perform complex inspections of internal components and assess future needs</li><li>Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance activities, following manufacturers and internal instructions as required.</li><li>Improve equipment reliability</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve existing PM program</li><li>Identify root cause of equipment related issues and incorporate potential prevention measures as part of the PM schedule.</li><li>Maintain Log of issues, resolutions and completed work orders</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>General</p><ul><li>Use <span >electrical/electronic</span> diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters, infrared scanning equipment and other tools as necessary for servicing applicable equipment.</li><li>Identify issues that cannot be resolved by internal resources and coordinate with alternative service providers to have these issues resolved.</li><li>Read diagrams, schematics, reports, and manuals</li><li>Use maintenance software <br><br></li></ul><p>Other duties and responsibilities</p><ul><li>Identify / report hazards and fulfill all Health & Safety, WHMIS, MSDS, and company policy requirements</li><li>While the job may primarily be during the day, working later in the day/evening and/or on weekends might be required depending on the urgency of the repair</li></ul><ul><li>Cleans and maintains work areas and shop equipment</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience</p><ul><li>High School Diploma, GED and 3-5 years equivalent directly transferrable work experience (Manufacturing or Engineering discipline preferred).</li><li>Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program</li><li>Formal training or 2+ years of ventilation system maintenance experience</li><li>Working knowledge of hydraulic systems under 3000psi</li><li>Experience with air compressors, and compressed air systems</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings (e.g., blueprints, manuals, wiring diagrams etc.)</li><li>Exhibit good time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow throughout the day.</li><li>Strong verbal and written English language communication skills.</li><li>'Hands-on self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team</li><li>Must be able to lift, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)</li><li>Valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>What we Offer</p><ul><li>Full comprehensive benefits package including extended health and dental care</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
