12-month full-time contract (with potential extension)


Introduction

We are currently hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who can serve as a trusted scientific expert and strategic field partner, building strong relationships with top healthcare professionals and thought leaders across Canada. Our client is a global leader in medical aesthetics and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical experts, and healthcare organizations.
  • Deliver engaging scientific and disease‑state education to clinicians and their teams.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and balanced scientific information to support product and therapeutic strategy.
  • Represent the medical team at national and regional conferences, congresses, and educational events.
  • Support scientific programs, including symposia, speaker bureau activities, and advisory boards.
  • Identify potential clinical trial advocates and support investigator‑initiated research discussions.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally, including supporting training for internal sales and business teams.
  • Effectively plan territory activities and manage medical budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and organizational regulations.


Requirements

  • Strong scientific communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Flexibility for extensive travel (~75%).
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, PharmD strongly preferred).
  • Prior MSL experience is a must.
  • 2+ years of related experience in research, clinical practice, or Medical Affairs.
  • Pharmaceutical or startup experience is an asset.
  • Field-based experience is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organization, scientific storytelling, and presentation abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Health Canada, FDA, GMP, PAAB, PMPRB).
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously.
